Tonight, the City Council finalized the city budget for 2018/2019 which will include building 8 pickleball courts in Maricopa.
Local USAPA ambassador Rocky Meyers meet yesterday afternoon with Mayor Price, and Councilwomen Peggy Chapados & Nancy Smith, along with the Community Services Director and the Park Director to discuss the courts built.
Bids will be going out for contract soon, with plans to start the project in the fall. The actual build takes about 90 days to complete.
The courts are planned to be pickleball exclusive and will be free to the public.
Anticipated site will be at Copper Sky Park in Maricopa.
